According to foreign media, Australia has cancelled the visa of an Israeli influencer, Sammy Yahood, who was running an anti-Islam campaign, saying it will not accept guests who spread hatred.
Expressing anger, the Israeli influencer said on social media that Islam is a hateful ideology, adding that his visa was cancelled just three hours before his departure from Israel.
Regarding this, Interior Minister Tony Burke said that people who wish to come to Australia should apply for the correct visa and for the right reasons, and that spreading hatred is not a good reason.
Media reports state that on 14 December last year, 15 people were killed in a shooting during a Hanukkah event at Bondi Beach in Sydney, after which Australia immediately tightened its hate crime laws.
