MQM Pakistan member of Sindh Assembly Rana Shaukat accuses his own party members Sharjeel Jamal and Iqbal Mehsud of death threats.
In the Sindh Assembly session, while expressing his views, Rana Shaukat accused his own party members Sharjeel Jamal and Iqbal Mehsud of issuing death threats, stating that if the police at the relevant station do not register his FIR, he would have no choice but to resign.
Taking action on Rana Shaukat’s statement, the Speaker of the Sindh Assembly immediately summoned the police into the House and also advised Opposition Leader Ali Khurshidi to intervene and resolve the matter.
Sindh Provincial Home Minister Zia Lanjar assured Rana Shaukat of protection; however, in this regard, Sharjeel Jamal claimed that it was an internal matter that has been resolved.
On the other hand, MQM Pakistan Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has sought a report on the matter from Opposition Leader Ali Khurshidi.
