Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Special Assistant for Information Shafiq Jan stated that the release of PTI founder Imran Khan does not require the party’s approval for forming a force.
During a conversation on Geo News’ program Naya Pakistan, reacting to former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s statements, Shafiq Jan said he should not have given interviews; if he does, he should only talk about the founder’s release.
He further said that PTI founder Imran Khan’s release force does not need the party’s approval; if Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announces it, the force will be formed.
On former PTI leaders’ proposal for a national government, Shafiq Jan said that PTI founder will not even meet those people, so how can they convince him for a national government.
