PTI founder Imran Khan was transferred to PIMS Hospital for follow-up eye treatment.
According to the Executive Director of PIMS, the founder was moved from Adiala Jail to PIMS Hospital on February 24, where he was given the second dose of anti-VEGF intravitreal injection.
Before administering the dose, a cardiologist consultant performed an echocardiography and ECG, with normal results. His vitals remained stable during his hospital stay, procedure, and afterward, and the consultant physician declared him medically stable.
The procedure was carried out under the guidance of consultant ophthalmologists and a consultant vitreoretinal surgeon from PIMS and Shifa Eye Hospital. It was performed as day-care surgery, with a board of specialists examining him beforehand.
Following the examination, PTI founder Imran Khan was discharged with necessary instructions, follow-up advice, prescription, and documents.
