A botched burglary in Rajasthan’s Kota turned slapstick when a thief wedged himself in a kitchen exhaust shaft, dangling for an hour like a bad movie stunt, India Today reported.
On January 3, suspect broke into Subhash Kumar Rawat’s home while the family was away. He aimed for valuables but picked a tight escape: the exhaust fan.
Around 1am, Rawat and wife returned to find their kitchen lit by a scooter’s headlights—and a man’s legs flailing outside the shaft, torso inside. His partner fled at the noise, leaving him stuck.
Locals gawked as cops freed the squirming burglar (video now viral). Turns out, they rolled up in a fake-police-stickered vehicle to blend in.
Police nabbed the trapped thief, hunting his accomplice and checking local crime links.
