Renowned Indian YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has claimed to have revealed the truth behind the controversial Bollywood film Dhurandhar.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Rathee asserted that the film spreads propaganda and incites hatred under the guise of entertainment. He highlighted that Dhurandhar depicts Indian agencies hiring criminals for official roles, raising serious concerns about the narrative being promoted through mainstream cinema.
Rathee alleged that director Aditya Dhar has presented a storyline similar to accusations Pakistan often makes against India, portraying a secret agent as a hero while normalizing actions that should be questioned rather than glorified. He strongly criticized Dhar, calling him “a disgrace to the name of art” and accusing him of using cinema to fuel hatred instead of promoting creativity or truth.
The YouTuber further claimed that Dhar has gone to great lengths to appease India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He also criticized Bollywood actors, asserting that many willingly participate in films driven by hate, prioritizing money and fame over moral and social responsibility.
Referring to a dialogue from the film, Rathee noted that it suggests an Indian’s greatest enemy is another Indian, a sentiment he said mirrors rhetoric frequently used by Indian politicians, particularly against Muslims living in the country.
