The series of violent protests ongoing for two weeks in Iran has stopped, with conditions gradually returning to normal; international calls are restored but internet service remains suspended.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated Iran is prepared if the US attempts a military operation, doubting America’s readiness for fair negotiations. He rebuked the German Chancellor, calling Berlin the worst place for human rights lectures, citing Germany’s silence on Venezuela’s president’s abduction and 70,000 Gaza deaths.
Notably, after Iran’s crackdown restored order, US President Trump urged Iranians to protest again, openly backed rioters by telling them to seize institutions with imminent US aid, and warned of severe repercussions for protester executions.
