Senator Saleem Mandviwala stated that he expects the US to lift the immigration visa ban soon.

During discussions in Washington, Senator Saleem Mandviwala said they are talking about the ban on immigration visas for Pakistan, and he anticipates that the US will soon lift the immigration visa restrictions.

He added that they will raise the issue of Afghans arriving on Pakistani identities with US officials.

Saleem Mandviwala further said that another parliamentary delegation from Pakistan will soon visit the US, and they are working to foster harmony between public representatives.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, the US State Department decided to halt immigrant visa processing for citizens of 75 countries, including Pakistan.

The affected countries include Somalia, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Brazil, Nigeria, Thailand, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, and Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, immigrant visa processing has also been stopped for Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, and Iran.
