According to the British news agency, US President Donald Trump has invited 60 countries to join the “Board of Peace” to resolve global conflicts, with a condition that permanent membership requires paying $1 billion per country. The board will begin operations with the Gaza conflict and expand to other disputes, with Trump serving as chairman for life.
Hungary has announced its participation. Critics argue it will limit the UN’s role, resembles a colonial structure, and excludes any Palestinians. Some diplomats say the initiative could undermine the United Nations’ work.
