Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser—Secretary General of Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan and former National Assembly Speaker—declared that in Pakistan, vote counters have eclipsed voters in influence.
Speaking at a Swabi gathering, he lamented the challenges of running Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming the provincial government faces constant interference. Qaiser alleged even the Chief Minister can’t meet party leader Imran Khan, violating jail rules that grant prisoners visitor rights. “Imran Khan served as Prime Minister, yet an elected CM is barred—does Pakistan run on laws or coercion?” he demanded.
He insisted no one accepts a system built on oppression, urging governance by the Constitution and rule of law. Qaiser also decried the erosion of voting rights.
