Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited Allama Iqbal International Airport, where he carried out a comprehensive review of the immigration procedures for departing passengers.
During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi said that protecting Pakistan’s dignity while facilitating travelers remains a key priority of the government. He assured that no passenger would be prevented from traveling abroad without valid justification.
He stressed that while legitimate passengers must be treated with care, professional beggars and individuals carrying incomplete travel documents would not be permitted to travel overseas, adding that those who damage the country’s image would face strict action.
The interior minister also directed officials to further enhance the immigration system, making it more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, along with other senior officials, was also present during the visit.
