An Islamabad court ordered the arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Saturday for failing to attend hearings multiple times.
The case, filed by the NCCIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), accuses Afridi of spreading misleading claims against state institutions and undermining their reputation.
Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah issued non-bailable warrants after Afridi’s no-shows and directed authorities to produce him in court. The next hearing is set for January 17.
