Meta has begun testing new subscription models across its apps, including Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
According to a report, a Meta spokesperson confirmed that these subscription models are being trialed, offering paying users access to more features and enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Meta recently acquired Journal AI agent suite Manus, which will also be part of these subscription plans. The goal of the new subscription plans is to increase Meta’s revenue.
Meta is developing AI models called Llama, which are open-source and freely accessible. However, the subscription models will provide various features, such as full access to AI-powered short video Vibes.
While Meta’s Vibes service has been free since its launch, subscribers will get additional features. These subscription models will be separate from the current Meta Verified service.
Meta Verified, launched in 2023, allows users to obtain a blue tick on their accounts along with other features. Meta’s spokesperson stated that after initial testing and considering user feedback, these subscription plans will be rolled out to all users.
