Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday for restoring peace in Karachi, crediting their work with reviving the city’s trade and industry.
Speaking at the Passing-Out Parade for Basic Recruit Training Course No. 33 at the Rangers Training Centre and School, Naqvi called it an honor to see the discipline and dedication of the new recruits joining one of Pakistan’s elite forces. He congratulated the cadets, their families, and instructors, marking the occasion as a key milestone in their careers.
Naqvi highlighted Rangers Sindh’s nationwide reputation for professionalism, noting they “made history” by eliminating terrorism, crime, and unrest in Karachi. Working with Sindh Police, they dismantled criminal networks in the riverine Katcha areas, transforming law and order across the province.
Regional Security Role
He pointed to their critical support during May 2025 operations against Indian aggression, where Rangers aided the Pakistan Army in thwarting border threats through vigilant monitoring.
Tribute to Martyrs
Naqvi honored fallen Rangers for sacrifices securing both internal peace in Sindh and external frontiers, stating their bravery enabled Karachi’s resurgence as a global trade and cultural hub.
