The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation’s General Council scheduled an urgent session for December 27 to address Pakistani player Ubaidullah Rajput competing for India, donning its jersey, and displaying its flag.
Federation Secretary Rana Sarwar revealed Chairman Chaudhry Shafay Hussain ordered the meeting. He noted 16 Pakistani athletes joined a Bahrain tournament—not an official national squad—without seeking clearance or NOCs.
Sarwar clarified it was an unauthorized group misusing Pakistan’s name, lacking government nod or federation notice.
“A national player representing India and waving its flag is intolerable,” he declared. “We’ll investigate thoroughly, impose strict penalties, target rogue promoters, and ban illicit events.”
He vowed to protect Pakistan’s reputation at all costs. While club-level cross-border play occurs, donning a rival nation’s colors and flag crosses a line.
