PML-N candidate Usama Abdul Karim has been declared the unopposed winner for Punjab Assembly seat PP-289 in Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Returning Officer issued the official notification confirming his election after all opponents withdrew their nominations, including Muhammad Abad Khan.
The seat fell vacant due to Sardar Mahmood Qadir Khan Laghari’s resignation.
Per the schedule, nominations ran December 10-12, scrutiny occurred on December 18, and symbols were due January 1, 2026. Polling, set for January 25, became unnecessary with the unopposed result.
