Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah insisted Tuesday that PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife must fully comply with court rulings, emphasizing no one is above the law.
Addressing reporters, he noted the Islamabad High Court (IHC) outlined clear protocols for meetings with Khan. “In the latest one, the PTI founder and his wife were both present—no question about the government’s good faith,” Sanaullah said.
He highlighted PM Shehbaz Sharif’s repeated dialogue offers: twice from the National Assembly floor and once in cabinet. Yet PTI claims its leaders lack negotiation authority, Sanaullah countered. The PM consults establishment and party heads before such moves.
Sanaullah slammed PTI’s pattern: protesting, then alleging talks are ploys to ease pressure. “Go ahead with your February ‘wheel-jam’ if you want,” he said. Despite fresh demands for pre-talk meetings, Khan has dodged negotiations repeatedly—even as PM, rejecting opponents outright.
Confronting the state harms only PTI, he warned; such tactics won’t fly.
