The world-renowned Portuguese star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to step into the film world from the realm of sports.
According to foreign media reports, Ronaldo is soon close to achieving the milestone of 1,000 goals. Upon crossing this milestone, he will become the only footballer in football history to hold this honor. The 40-year-old Ronaldo has extended his contract with the Saudi club, under which he will continue playing football until 2027.
World Cup-winning former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit hinted in an interview that Ronaldo could potentially shine on the big screen. He said that Cristiano Ronaldo could become a big movie star. It’s surprising why we don’t see more athletes in films. We see rappers, influencers, and many celebrities working in movies, but sports personalities are rarely seen—why?
He further said, “I’m happy for Ronaldo; in my opinion, he has the ability to inspire people and a special charm. Ronaldo is also the most famous personality on social networks. Imagine if he were among Hollywood’s big stars.” Petit added that one day Ronaldo will win an Oscar too; honestly, a film could be made about his life. Mentally, I have never seen a stronger person than him.
It should be noted here that Emmanuel Petit’s statement came after the announcement in which Vin Diesel confirmed that Ronaldo will appear in the upcoming Fast & Furious film, and his role has already been finalized.
On the other hand, Ronaldo recently topped Sportico’s list of the highest-paid athletes in the world.
