Balochistan’s government kicked off the new year by launching the Pink Bus Service, dedicated to women and female students.
CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced via X that the service aims to provide safe, dignified, reliable transport for daily commutes in the provincial capital. “We’re committed to making it permanent and expanding to other districts,” he said, noting its boost to women’s education, jobs, and healthcare access.
Secure public transit for women anchors the government’s reform agenda, with female empowerment a core priority.
The initiative tackles longstanding safety issues for female students and professionals. Officials hail it as a step toward inclusive, gender-responsive services, earning praise for enhancing urban mobility.
