As cold intensifies in Lahore, there has been a noticeable increase in patients suffering from nose, ear, throat, and asthma or breathing issues.
Mayo Hospital Lahore’s Medical Superintendent (MS), Dr. Abdul Mubeen, stated that patient arrivals at the hospital alone have risen by 10 percent. Dry cold weather in January is affecting people more severely.โ
He added that stomach complaints are also increasing during this harsh cold; residents should avoid consuming soup and fish from markets. Dr. Abdul Mubeen further noted that eating such market items leads to stomach problems.โ
