Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has confirmed that PTI founder Imran Khan was taken to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad for a medical examination.
Speaking on state TV, Atta Tarar said that eye specialists examined Imran Khan at Adiala last week, and on their recommendation, he was taken to PIMS where his eyes were checked in a 20-minute procedure.
He stated that after the routine medical procedure, Imran Khan was transferred back to Adiala with necessary instructions.
Atta Tarar said that he was completely stable during the medical procedure and Imran Khan is completely healthy.
He further said that all prisoners are given access to doctors as per rules, therefore Imran Khan is completely healthy.
It may be noted that for the past few days, reports were circulating on social media about Imran Khan being taken to PIMS Hospital, on which the government had not issued any clarification.
