Islamabad: Revelation that fire safety arrangements are unsatisfactory.
DG Capital Emergency Services Dr. Abdul Rehman revealed that fire safety measures in the federal capital Islamabad are not satisfactory. According to him, most buildings in the Blue Area commercial center are better regarding fire safety, but fire safety arrangements in Karachi Company and G-9 buildings are incomplete.
As per rules, Capital Emergency Services issues a fire NOC before building construction, and a completion NOC is given after construction is complete.
According to rules, the building owner must contract a company for maintenance and is bound to send reports every 6 months.
Director DMA Dr. Inam said that the District Municipal Administration is responsible for fire safety in the city’s markets.
