Pakistan and Italy have reaffirmed their joint commitment to expand bilateral cooperation in education, tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges.
This consensus emerged during a meeting in Islamabad today between Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin.
Gillani highlighted over 75 years of diplomatic ties rooted in longstanding friendship on international forums, thanking Italy for hosting over 300,000 Pakistanis and its support; the ambassador noted Italy’s high regard for the friendship, revealing over 15,000 student visas issued in 2025 for postgraduate and PhD programs.
