Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi states Pakistan is closely monitoring developments in Iran’s situation, noting Iran as a neighboring country and key global community member.
During Islamabad’s weekly press briefing, Andrabi expressed hope for sustained peace and stability in Iran, with Pakistan supporting all peaceful resolution efforts, viewing Iran as a friendly brotherly nation amid deep historical, cultural, and religious ties between their peoples.
He highlighted Iran’s resilient nation overcoming past challenges, expecting government economic relief measures to ease public hardships—a stable, peaceful Iran aligns with Pakistan’s interests; separately, Pakistan condemned sentences against Asia Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen, and Fehmeda Sufi as fabricated trials targeting peaceful Kashmiri rights struggles, reaffirming full diplomatic, political, and moral support for Kashmiri self-determination per UN resolutions.
