Karachi: Amid rising theft threats, decision made to sell certain assets of Steel Mills.
Details reveal that officials informed the National Assembly’s sub-committee on Industries and Production that even the 11 kV power cables of Pakistan Steel Mills have been stolen.
The meeting also revealed that despite Pakistan Steel Mills being closed, it received an electricity bill of 27.5 crore rupees, and 2.5 crore rupees were paid last month.
The meeting was further informed that certain assets are being auctioned due to increasing theft risks.
